OK, that went easier than expected. The Raspberry Pi 0 has been running without any low voltage errors. I have installed InfluxDB and Grafana on that same RPI 0 and it actually works?
Continue reading “Grafana ftw”Ok, here we go. To get this working took me quite some googling and trial & error, so hopefully this can help someone out! When you buy the SDS011 sensor, there’s usually a USB dongle included. With this you can easily get the data on Mac, Windows, RPI, etc.
Continue reading “Using SDS011 via UART”Over the last year I’ve been testing on and off with the RPI zero and PMS5003 particulate sensor and pimoroni board. Results are just not good enough.
Continue reading “Not good enough…”Got a second one in today and it’s looking good. Hooked it up to an RPI 2 (or 3?) with a ribbon cable and ran a test-script that shows (and log) data every 30 seconds. So far so good!

Continue reading “Goods!”Got the camera and IR leds working. We have lift off!! I have little experience with hardware in combination with RPI, so good to see it works. Got it set up with motion eye now, but that’s a bit heavy for a RPI Zero W. Checking what else is possible.
Hit a snag, even with fog where relative humidity should be 100%, it maxes out around 70-80%. Checking with supplier if it simply a faulty unit. It’s not that it’s a cheap board or anything. So far Pimoroni support have been nothing but helpful and responsive. Let’s see what the verdict is and a replacement might work better.
Continue reading “Bad data sent to Luftdaten project :-/”Since breeding season is upon us, I decided to look into birdcam thingy first. This means I made a simple box from house hold items to place the sensor in.
Continue reading “I am live!”I need to get the hardware outside and played around with some cardboard to see what would work. It’s somewhat boxy, but I know what could and couldn’t work.
